  21.    Welcome to LOGPlus! version 2

  23.    Once you've completed the installation, please print and read 
  24.    the documentation before attempt to run LOGPlus!.  Even though 
  25.    the program will run, it may have difficulties because 
  26.    modifications to your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files are 
  27.    required.  The documentation will explain this as well as give 
  28.    you a wealth of information on what LOGPlus! can do.

  43.    Creating multiple logbooks
  44.    ==========================
  45.    Creating multiple logbooks has caused a bit of confusion in 
  46.    the past. To clarify the procedure, the following steps should 
  47.    be followed.
  48.  
  49.    1.  Enter the program  LOG {call}
  50.    2.  At the main menu press F6.
  51.    3.  Move the highlight bar down to B> and press enter.
  52.    4.  Enter the callsign for the new logbook then press enter.
  53.    5.  Repeat step 2/3/4 for each new logbook.
  54.    6.  Exit the program.
  55.    7.  Insert the distribution diskette with PLUSV2_1.EXE.  This is 
  56.        usually diskette 2 for 360K users and disk 1 for all others.
  57.    8.  At the DOS prompt type:   MULTI B: C:\PLUSV2\LOG1\
  58.  
  59.       B: =  Drive distribution disk containing PLUSV2_1.EXE
  60.             C:\PLUSV2\LOG1 = FULL path for the new logbook.
  61.  
  62.    9. Repeat step 8 changing LOG1 to LOG2 etc... for each additional 
  63.       log.

  65.    10.  Enter the program LOG {call}
  66.    11.  At the main menu press F6.
  67.    12.  Do a Global Index once the active log changes to the call
  68.         selected.

  70.    Running LOGPlus! under Windows v3.1
  71.    ===================================

  73.    LOGPlus! v2 can be run in a DOS shell under Windows v3.1.
  74.    To create the ICONS and establish the necessary file structures,
  75.    the following step by step instructions are provided.
  76.    The files LOGPLUS.PIF and LOGPLUS.ICO MUST be installed in the
  77.    \PLUSV2 directory of your hard drive.  I've used hard drive C:;
  78.    however, you can can use anyone you wish.

  80.    Using the PIF Editor
  81.    Enter the following information.  Advanced features do not change.

  83.    Program Filename:      C:\PLUSV2\LOG.EXE
  84.    Window Title:          LOGPlus! v2
  85.    Optional Parameters:   ENTER YOUR CALLSIGN HERE!!
  86.    Start-Up Directory:    C:\PLUSV2

  88.    Video Memory:          TEXT
  89.    Memory Requirements:   KB Required  128    KB Desired   640

  93.    Using the Program Manager - Properties

  95.    We need to establish an ICON and tell Windows what to do.
  96.    Using the Program Manager, select File (ALT-F) then select
  97.    Properties (ALT-ENTER).  Next do the following:

  100.    Command Line:          C:\PLUSV2\LOGPLUS.PIF
  101.    Working Directory:     C:\PLUSV2

  103.    Next, select Change Icon and make the following changes.

  105.    File Name:             C:\PLUSV2\LOGPLUS.ICO

  107.    Save your changes/additions.
